I ran into a friend who works at Wegmans while I was running a quick errand the other day... I happened to mention that Dominic had been a cranky baby this week due to teeth poking through. She has a younger baby but had been recommended these teething tablets from somebody else she knew (really, talking to people and finding out their remedies is the best!). We purchased some of these said "teething tablets," and the results thus far are quite satisfactory. They're homeopathic, which makes me happier, and they work, which makes Dominic happier, so I'd say it's a win-win situation.

As the boy grows, I'm interested in checking out other remedies that they carry and will update accordingly.

Yack- this weather is already killing me. I am not looking forward to the actual summertime. The ONLY good thing about this weather is the speed at which it dries my wet laundry. Speaking of laundry, this conversation on a friend's facebook status this morning encouraged me in the fact that I'm not the only one who takes forever for laundry to get from dirty pile to washing machine to drying rack to basket to folded to finally away...
Oh also, have you noticed how good I am getting about actually posting on a regular basis... (watch, I'll put this up, and then the surge of posts shall disappear). I think the shorter blobs of info seem to be easier to write on a regular basis. We'll see how long this lasts.

One of our favorite toys at present: RazBaby Teether Well, perhaps, it's mama's favorite as it gives my fingers a rest from rubbing sore gums. Though really- look at it; you can't say it doesn't look awesome:
Other soothers presently working- ice cubes hidden in kitchen towels + a Nuby ring with rubber "beads." Oh teething, you are not fun like you promised to be...

This has been stuck in my head the majority of the day...
Not complaining though. =)
It is toasty toasty here in Rochester... only a few weeks back we had a random showing of snow. Apparently the weather wants to keep surprising us this year. Dominic, poor little guy, is not such a fan of the heat. Rashes, crankiness, the works. We have purchased a mini wading pool, but his sitting up is not quite up to par.
BUT he does sit up very well most of the time. He also is working on Tooth #1. My guess is it shall hatch within the week. I sure could use a break from the cranky side he is showing these days. And the "I-want-to-nurse-constantly" nights.
He's growing up to be quite the little man though with many of his own opinions. We have added peas to his diet along with the oatmeal + rice cereal. He ate them fine the first time, but since then, he spits them out the first time. We scoop them off his chin and re-insert, and usually he takes them that time... maybe it tastes better regurgitated?
Anyhoo, time to make some dinner. More later.
