Weekly Capture XXXV

Jesus' birthday cake + my brother with B

This week's Weekly Capture is primarily a visual wrap-up as we've been in Christmas mode for the past week and a half, and not only does that mean a frenzy of activity within our household, but it also meant a 6 day trip down to VA to bring in the New Year with my extended family. Today is the husband's birthday, so in betwixt creating an epic-ly sized pumpkin whoopie pie and wrapping random gifts, I'm quickly typing this out. LegenDaddy is due home from work sometime soon, so forgive the brevity of this post, and look for more to come next week!

In the meanwhile, Happy, happy Birthday to our favorite adventure-seeker, teller of tales, pancake flipper, crazy haired (and bearded at times), guardian of our abode, lover of philosophy, history, and all around learning, nightly kid-to-bed putter, and morningly coffee maker, humble man of true manliness, speaker of conviction with integrity, and of course, THE LegenDaddy.
Love you mister, and Happy 28 years to you!

Christmas morning - breakfast as a family while reading the Christmas story
and B thoroughly enjoying his 1st Christmas!

Dom has been full of quotes this week. Sadly, mama has been bad about actually writing them down and therefore, is unable to recall any.

Blaise is learning new things daily. He's rather close to standing solo, without using furniture as his aid. Tooth #4 finally broke through and has enabled all sorts of mashing to go on with food and eating and such. His 1st birthday is creeping up on us quickly - tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of his duedate. He's starting to get more and more vocal, and says "ye-uuuh" when asked certain questions.

Northern VA was much less snowy than NY,
so we went on several outdoor adventures while down there.
