I took the last week of 2014 to travel and see 8 of my favorite people in the world (my parents and 6 of my siblings), to enjoy the pure joy of the Christmas season (you still have 4 full days!), and just loving on my family. SO, now here you have 2015, which I must say snuck right up on me, and this next week or so, I'll be sharing some of my goals for the new year and things I did and learned last year. I'd love to hear where you are at and what your hopes and dreams are, so drop me a line or leave a comment.
First up… the Top 5 Posts of 2014:
5. Fall Decor Ideas for the Decorating Challenged - some quick tips that I shared about how I minimally throw things here and there to bring on the Autumn aura. Didn't think this would be as popular as it was… perhaps I'll have to share my spring jive when it pops up.
4. Celebrating the Feast Day of Sts. Anne and Joachim - now these are some of my favorites. I love learning new and traditional ways to celebrate the Saints of the Church.
3. 6 Years of Marriage and What It's Taught Us - Celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary this past August and shared some tidbits we've picked up along the journey.
2. Mass Effect : Why We Bring Our Kids to Church - Along with some friends, I shared some reasons why we think it's important to have our kids participate in the Mass weekly and how we make that happen as quietly/effectively/reasonably as we can.
And the number 1 post of the year was…
Walking Through Lent with Small Children - the title is pretty self explanatory. Tips, ideas, and thoughts on bringing the season of Lent to the small ones in your family and making it real to them.
Thanks for hanging on for the up and down ride of 2014 folks! A long and arduous pregnancy for nearly half the year, an infant, and some random hardships thrown in here and there made for quite a long and crazy year. I am fairly happy to be closing the door to this past year and looking ahead to hopeful happenings in the new.
Thank you also to each of you who have shared posts and told your friends about what I've got to say - you help immensely. Thank you to those who made their Christmas present purchases through my links - what a blessing you were to my family! Plus, I'm a little jealous of what your friends and family received… Thank you to you who reached out and sent me a note of encouragement or who were able to sympathize with me or even just ask for prayer. You guys are all really the best. I wish each of you a joyous and hope filled 2015!
